Transforming Vision into Digital Impact

The Digital Facility for the Caribbean supports governments, institutions and development partners in advancing digital transformation as a driver of sustainable and inclusive development across the region. Our work focuses on helping countries strengthen the foundations required to harness digital technologies responsibly, ensuring that innovation contributes to better governance, improved public services and greater opportunities for citizens.

Through technical cooperation and regional collaboration, the Facility works with national authorities and stakeholders to design and implement digital strategies aligned with the priorities of the Caribbean. This includes supporting the development of digital public infrastructure, strengthening data governance frameworks and promoting policies that enable secure, accessible and inclusive digital ecosystems. By connecting countries with global expertise and practical tools, we help translate digital innovation into concrete development outcomes.

A central component of our work is building institutional and human capacities. The Digital Facility promotes knowledge exchange, training programs and collaborative initiatives that empower public institutions to better anticipate technological change and integrate digital solutions into public policy and service delivery. These efforts aim to strengthen resilience, improve decision-making processes and support more efficient and transparent institutions.

The Facility also serves as a platform for regional partnerships, bringing together governments, academia, civil society and the private sector to foster innovation and share experiences. By facilitating collaboration across countries and sectors, we contribute to the development of scalable digital solutions that address shared challenges and support sustainable growth.

Through these actions, the Digital Facility for the Caribbean helps ensure that digital transformation in the region is inclusive, responsible and aligned with the broader mission of the United Nations Development Programme to advance human development and accelerate progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals.
